What steps can I take if I receive a notification, Trident is not a trusted site?

I.  To set security levels in the Internet Explorer browser do the following:

  1. 1. Click on Tools
  2. 2. Click on Internet Options
  3. 3. Click on Security tab
  4. 4. Click on Trusted sites
  5. 5. Click on Sites button
  6. 6. Under “Add this website to the zone” type in *.trident.edu. (Note: the * is a wildcard that will cover all Trident links.
  7. 7. Click on Add
  8. 8. Click on Close
  9. 9. Click on Apply

II.   In regards to trusted sites, if you experience an error message pertaining to Mixed Content (meaning it has some secure content and some not-secure content), then try the steps below to get rid of that message:

  1. 1. Click on Tools
  2. 2. Click on Internet Options
  3. 3. Click on Security tab
  4. 4. Click on Internet
  5. 5. Click on Custom level
  6. 6. Under Settings, find Display mixed content and then select Enable or Prompt (Note: Prompt means the system will ask you for permission to proceed)
  7. 7. For Reset Custom Settings, set it to Medium (default) (Note: this should be the default)
  8. 8. Click Okay
  9. 9. Click on Apply
